Patrick Lynch

1979-1984: Arthur Young & Co. CPA, special auditor for banks, manufacturing and sports & entertainment venues.


1984-1994: Worcester Centrum Arena, Financial Director & Asst. General Manager for all financial responsibilities focusing on event financial settlements and negotiations. Pat supervised Facility Improvement Projects at one of the busiest arenas in New England. Centrum has 13,000 seats for concerts.
 

1988-1994: Albany Knickerbocker Arena, General Manager hired 2 years before opening to consult on design, construction and established operational startup plan while hiring initial staff. He booked all events and negotiated tenant contracts with sports franchises. Opened with a Frank Sinatra concert and staged 91 events in the first 90 days of operations. This is arguably one of the most successful arena / stadium startups. The arena achieved a significant operating profit every year and is now known as the Times Union Arena.
 

1994-2011: Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum & Sports Arena, General Manager. Pat managed all operations and improvement to both the Coliseum and Sports Arena while attaining significant operating profits for the self sustaining venues and providing over $20,000,000 in self funded improvements.

He supervised and negotiated the contracts for all projects which included new video boards, sound systems, concession stands, elevators and escalators. He also negotiated a long term tenant agreement with the University of Southern California (USC) for use of the Coliseum for USC Football.

 

1998-2011: Coliseum Association, Los Angeles, California, President:
• Established a 501 C3 Corporation to operate the Food and Beverage operations of the Coliseum and Sports Arena. These services were previously provided by outside contractors.


• Operated this Company at a significant profit every year from 1998 to 2011. Profits were reinvested back into the facilities and provided operating income to the Coliseum and Sports Arena.
• Negotiated all employment agreements and Union worker contracts. Supervised all improvement projects. 

 

Education
University of Massachusetts – Dartmouth, South Dartmouth, MA , 1979 Bachelor Degree, Accounting Major Passed Certified Public Accounting Exam and became a Certified Public Accountant, Massachusetts 1985 Served on many Non-Profit organizations’ Board of Directors.
